During Charter Day this week at the Capitol, I had the privilege of presenting Arbor Prep Academy’s Girls Basketball team with a tribute from the state of Michigan! Another huge congratulations on their division 3 back to back Championship wins🏀🏆
Teachers are more than educators — they’re counselors, mentors & role models. They take on these roles not for recognition or pay, but because they care. I hope Michigan Republicans join us in showing that we care — by passing a full education budget by July 1. #ThankATeacher 🍎🍏

Let’s do our part to care for ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities while still enjoying the beautiful parks here in Michigan! 🛝☀️
This May 1st, I want to remind House District 32, that workers are always stronger when we work together.
We are the driving force that builds our communities, grows our food, takes care of our sick, teaches our youth, keeps our great state moving forward to a better tomorrow, and so much more!
Happy International Workers Day everyone, and thank you to the workers everywhere doing your part!✊🏾
This week myself and several of my colleagues joined the resolution calling for Donald Trump’s impeachment.
“Every district in Congress has been affected by Trump’s dismantling of congressionally established agencies and congressionally approved funding. This alone should cause every elected official across the country to call for this president’s impeachment immediately. He doesn’t care about children, seniors, or veterans and it shows by what has been paused or cut completely.”
The Trump administration is cutting funding that affects the vulnerable members of our communities. It is past time for impeachment, and I stand with my colleagues calling for it!
