Please prioritize bringing the bipartisan bill 1052 floor vote this week. I am part of a group of more than 1000 concerns citizens which are counting on your strong leadership and support to keep our community and families safe. The radioactive material being buried in Wayne disposal keeps me up at night. I worry about my family‘s health and wealth. The Senate has done its part and passing this bill please I urge you to find the time to vote on protecting our communities from hazardous and radioactive waste by bringing this bill to the floor this week! Thank you sir in advance for your strong support! We appreciate you!!

As we move ahead during lame-duck, I’ve got more on my wish-list for Detroiters and everyone across the state. I’m going to keep working on making water more affordable, increasing unemployment benefits, and making our neighborhoods safer. I’ve heard from folks that these are their priorities, so they are mine, too. Working for the people is why I get up every morning and work hard everyday. ... See MoreSee Less

The opportunity to serve Detroiters and all Michiganders is a privilege I am grateful for everyday. As the legislative term winds down, I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on all the wins we were able to bring for the people of Michigan — giving folks some breathing room in their budget, making sure kids are fed at school, addressing issues in the juvenile justice system, and creating more housing opportunities that people can afford. I’m going to keep putting one foot in front of the other to serve this great state. ... See MoreSee Less

Wayne County has more commercial hazardous waste facilities than anywhere else in the State. The House has an opportunity now to show real leadership by passing SB1052. Speaker Tate can clearly demonstrate his commitment to Wayne County and Detroit's environmental future by bringing this bill to a vote! We NEED you Joe!
