A little rain cant stop Juneteenth in the WB! It was wonderful to be at this amazing event put on by so many wonderful leaders in our community. Celebrating Juneteenth, National Freedom Day – and the strides we have made for equality in Black America since the Emancipation Proclamation, and all the work that still remains – could hardly be more important. Fighting for equity, justice, and opportunity for our Black community – not just in Greater West Bloomfield and Commerce, but all across Michigan – is paramount, and must be a core focus of every policymaker. ...
