Praying!! Absolutely horrific, was coming home from work that way as everyone was arriving on scene. 😭

That area has always been dangerous, as far back as I can remember.

Proud to be in Commerce standing with our local Nurses at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital as they organize for a fair contract. I have a deep and personal history with HVSH, with my Dad serving on staff as Chief of PM&R, and with many members of my family having received great care there. This hospital and its staff always shows up for members of our community when they need care, and now it’s time for Tenet (DMC’s corporate owner) to show up for our HVSH nurses with a fair contract. ... We all want to leave our mark on the world. I believe we leave our biggest mark in quiet ways: by being good people, by loving and being loved. So, my ambition in running for office was not to make my mark merely by having a title, but to utilize the title and the office to make a mark — for the people, for the district, and for the state I am proud to serve. Standing with my dear colleague Rep. Grant who sponsored the bill with me and ADL MI Director Carolyn Normandin who lobbied for its passage, as Governor Whitmer signed the Michigan Hate Crime Act into law...I had to steel myself. As much as anything could be, this law…is my mark. The fight was so bitter, and the victory is sweeter for it. I am so grateful to everyone who helped me in this Herculean fight. You know who you are. 💙 ... See MoreSee Less

I am sooo grateful for your leadership in establishing this necessary law. NOW is the time to shine light on love, honor, respect and protection for the entire Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Queer and Trans populations. I do expect all other state elected officials to use this law as a model and get it signed in the free states.Thank you!

Be the light! Thank you Noah!

Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital right here in Commerce is an amazing asset for our community. Members of my family have received quality care at HVSH, in no small part thanks to the amazing physician and nursing staff. HVSH nurses deserve pay and benefits commensurate to their indispensability. Today, I’ll be joining our amazing HVSH nurses in Commerce to support a fair contract. Michigan Nurses Association ...
