Please join the Michigan Women's Commission this Thursday, February 6, at 10:30 am for a webinar focusing on access to capital for women entrepreneurs and small business owners. Details are below!In the US, there are over 14 million women-owned small businesses, accounting for nearly 40% of all businesses in the country. Women-owned businesses pack a powerful economic footprint, generating $2.7 trillion in annual revenue and employing almost 12.2 million people. Despite this, start-ups and businesses owned by women received less than 3% of venture capital funding and those with all woman teams received only 1.9%.

This week I attended the ribbon cutting for the Rochester Hills Resiliency Center, which was established to support anyone affected by last year's tragic shooting at the Brooklands Plaza splash pad. The Center will provide mental health support and a safe space for families to heal.
