The workers of UAW International Union Local 1002 in Middleville deserve a fair contract. They deserve to get better wages and not have to pay more for healthcare while Bradford White posts millions in profits.
That’s why I was proud to join their picket line with Rep. John Fitzgerald, Abbie Groff-Blaszak, and Khristian Silvis. Solidarity!

We stand on their shoulders; no one knows that better than this son and grandson of union members.
The labor movement was built when everyday folks felt powerless. Workers couldn't get ahead, and their government ignored them. Unions taught us there's strength in numbers and solidarity. Seems time to run that playbook again.

I'm presenting a tribute to a new Eagle Scout later today with a flag that flew over the state capitol, only to open the flag's box and find it wasn't properly folded.
Luckily, this older Eagle Scout remembers how to fold one, and his (den) mother lives nearby...

Smart stair reform is now the law of the land! Yesterday, Governor Whitmer signed several key bills to help combat the housing crisis, including legislation to:
🏗️ Establish a Housing Opportunity Tax Credit to finance new affordable housing
🏘 Limit Wall Street ownership of single-family homes
🏢 Our smart stair reform package to make small-scale apartment buildings doable
Special thanks to Parker Fairbairn - State Representative for working with me on this key package, State Senator Jeff Irwin for his support in the senate, and all the amazing staff who worked with us along the way. Even in today's politics, we were able to bring both sides together to ease the housing crisis. There's so much more to do, but this is another great step!
