If you don’t have AC, you can cool off at a public cooling center. To find a list of cooling centers in Wayne County, visit tinyurl.com/WayneCoCoolingCenters, or you can call or text 2-1-1- for help finding one near you.

Important heat safety reminders:
- Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water and avoid fluids with excessive sugar or alcohol.
- Limit Outdoor Activity: Limit outdoor activity, especially during the hottest parts of the day.
- Check on Vulnerable Individuals: Be sure to check frequently on young children, older adults, and those with medical conditions who are at higher risk for heat-related illness.
- Recognize Signs of Heat-Related Illness: Be aware of the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke, including heavy sweating, muscle cramps, weakness, confusion, slurred speech, dizziness, headache, nausea, and vomiting.
- Seek Medical Help: If you suspect someone has heatstroke, call 911 for immediate medical help.

While Republicans struggled to do basic math, House Dems created an education budget that actually adds up. 👩‍🏫

We know that funding + resources = student success! ✅️

Meanwhile, the Republican K-12 budget cuts free school meals, literacy programs and resources for English language learners. 😳

Democrats are fighting back against Republican cuts to education, and we know their math isn't mathing. 🚫
