I guess I’m the odd man out. I’m very disappointed in your vote in support of allowing trans girls to compete on girls high school athletic teams. That’s what this vote was, correct? “A resolution to strongly encourage the Michigan High School Athletic Association to promptly align its eligibility rules for high school athletes with Executive Order 14201 to preserve the integrity of competition and the safety of our female athletes.” www.legislature.mi.gov/Bills/Bill?ObjectName=2025-HR-0040 www.legislature.mi.gov/documents/2025-2026/resolutionadopted/House/pdf/2025-HAR-0040.pdf
Extremely disappointed in the supposed Democrats who voted in favor of this hateful nonsense. Proud to have you as a State Rep. Thanks for being such a strong ally to the LGBTQ+ community here in Michigan!
Thank you for your principled vote.

How is that even helpful? Good lord.
How can these creeps expect anyone to vote for them? Cutting money to educate children!!!!
Today, the Education and Workforce Committee met to discuss teacher certification legislation.
I emphasized the importance of master teachers serving as mentors to new teachers. During my first year in the classroom, my master teacher was a critical resource who helped me lesson plan and manage my time so that I could best support my students.
I look forward to continuing this conversation as we seek to streamline and strengthen the process of teacher certification.

Is this done at a school level already? I thought Christi Elemont mentioned something like this.
I was thrown to the wolves and told to figure it out.
Sounds like a good plan with master teachers. 👍🏼

Thanks Rep. Byrnes!
I was happy to have Dearborn Library Director Betty Adams as my guest for this year's State of the State!
Public libraries are the bedrock of every community, and we're fortunate to have three amazing libraries here in Dearborn.
Access to literacy strengthens the hearts and minds of people of all ages, and I'm proud to support our public libraries! ✨️

Today, I stood with my Democratic colleagues as we reaffirmed our support for marriage equality! ❣️
Republican Representative Josh Schriver recently introduced a resolution urging the Supreme Court to overturn the decision that established marriage equality nationwide.
This resolution seeks to strip the LGBTQ+ community of the basic right to marry, and House Dems will not stand for that.
