I have been in contact with local leaders regarding the damage caused by last night's storms. Heavy rains have produced over 2 inches of rain, causing flooding in parts of the community, so please avoid driving or walking through floodwaters.
Residents in Dearborn Heights who are stuck or need assistance can contact the city's non-emergency number: 313-277-6770.
Turn around, don’t drown. Check Michigan.gov/Drive for road conditions and report power outages to your local utility provider. #FloodSafety #TurnAroundDontDrown

March 25th is Equal Pay Day, marking how far into the new year women have to work to earn as much as their male counterparts did in the last year.
The Progressive Women's Caucus is committed to closing the gender pay gap in Michigan!
We've reintroduced our pay equity package, which includes:
✅️ Pay transparency: When you post a job, you must post a salary.
✅️ Preventing employers from asking about your current or previous salary, which can result in lower pay throughout someone's career.
✅️ Requiring employers to post about equal pay rights in the workplace.
✅️ Allowing for anonymous reporting of wage discrimination.
And more!
