October 16th is Mammography Day!
I was proud to speak to the importance of annual, early detection mammograms on the House floor.
Healthcare coverage for all, and annual screenings are critical tools in the fight against breast cancer. 🩷

25 years ago on September 11th, our nation was forever changed. Today we continue to honor the lives lost, the families forever impacted, and the first responders whose courage in the face of tragedy continues to inspire us. #neverforget

Today, I cast a vote that will ensure the MMOP (Michiganders for Money Out of Politics) measure goes to the ballot in November.
House Republicans attempted to push through legislation today that would have kept this measure off the ballot, and would have allowed the legislature to adopt and then amend the language for Republicans' political gain.
I stood with the voters, who submitted more than 500,000 signatures to get this measure on the ballot, because I believe in the democratic process.
I'm not falling for House Republicans' lame attempt to subvert the will of the voters, and I look forward to MMOP passing with overwhelming support in November!

These people are not Christians. Shame on them and every awful thing they represent.
