Governor Whitmer signed into law my Negro League Baseball Day legislation to be celebrated on May 2nd annually in the state of Michigan.
On this day let us all remember the horrific stain of slavery in the United States. Let’s also honor the legacy of June 19th by committing to continue the fight for equity and justice and reparations for all of our communities.
