Too frequently, we hear of elected officials not following the law and allowing special interests to pull the strings. Folks like myself are put into these elected positions to represent the people, not ourselves. We need to increase transparency and restore trust in our government. State Representatives Julie Brixie, Kara Hope, Erin Byrnes, and I just wrapped up a press conference re-introducing the BRITE Act, which would accomplish exactly that. Last night, two water main breaks occurred, affecting residents in northeast Ann Arbor. Officials from the city have clarified that there is no evidence of contamination, but out of an abundance of caution, the city has placed a boil water advisory for up to 48 hours. After the AMAZING turnout at our town hall last week in Ann Arbor, I am excited to announce that we will be hosting another town hall with Rep. Debbie Dingell, Senator Dayna Polehanki, Senator Rosemary Bayer, Ranjeev Puri, and State Representative Matt Koleszar, this time in Western Wayne County!
