Medicaid provides health care for 2.6 million people across Michigan including 1 million kids, 170,000 seniors, and 300,000 people with disabilities.
Over 60,000 #WashtenawCounty community members are covered by Medicaid.
Right now, proposed cuts to Medicaid could possibly terminate access to healthcare. If this goes into effect, the cost of care will go up for every single American and, here in Michigan, up to 750,000 people could lose access care.

Wow! Plymouth showed up for our after work coffee hour hosted by me and State Representative Matt Koleszar on Thursday. It was great getting to hear issues that impact both of our districts. Thank you to Northville School Board President Lisa Peterson McIntyre for coming as well and providing updates on schools and education funding.

If House Republicans were actually serious about protecting young women and girl athletes and protecting students, they would not have passed a budget that reduces the school aid budget by 25% and zeroed out funding for higher education and community colleges.
