When it comes to elections, Republicans are trying to do two things:
1. Force the outcome in their favor, no matter the voice of the people.
2. Distract from how they’ve terribly screwed up our economy.
Last night was yet another step in Trump’s long, ongoing effort to undermine our elections. His lies won’t change the facts: Michigan’s elections are free, fair and secure.

Everyone in Michigan knows our roads need fixing, and this budget continues that work by adding over $52 million dollars for state and local roads and bridges. But fixing our infrastructure means investing in the whole system, not just asphalt.
We secured a $123.8 million-dollar boost for transit and rail programs, including a major increase for local bus operations. Reliable transit means parents get to work on time, seniors keep their independence, and we build communities that actually connect people.
This is a long-overdue investment in the people who build and use our infrastructure every day.

Public parks are the heart of our neighborhoods. Today, we cut the ribbon on the new Bicentennial Park splash pad to give our community's kids a great place to stay cool this summer. Grateful to the local officials and Parks Department staff who brought this project across the finish line. Spent time earlier today exploring Growing Hope’s Urban Farm and Farmers Marketplace in Ypsilanti! The team here does the vital, daily work of building a fair and sustainable local food system.
Healthy communities require dependable access to nourishing food and real local ownership over our resources. Growing Hope turns empty space into productive greenhouses, connects neighbors, and creates deep community resilience. Thank you to Julius for having me and for your dedication to food justice right here at home.
