Had a great time at the American Friends Service Committee Mixer in Ypsilanti last night! The work they do in the community to lift folks up economically and socially while protecting them against injustice has been incredibly impactful. It was great seeing friends State Representative Kara Hope and State Representative Jimmie Wilson Jr. !

That would be an excellent democratic talking point. Republicans cut wages-here’s an example, the back to the office initiative of the “president” is another cut in wages.
Dr. King traveled over 6 million miles and spoke more than 2,500 times to fight injustice and inaction. His courage and leadership remind us to stand up against discrimination and work toward a just society.

Yesterday, Gov. Whitmer signed House Bills 4062-4063, which protect renters from discrimination based on their source of income. Gov. Whitmer’s signing of this critical legislation sends a clear message: every Michigander will have the dignity of putting a roof over their head - regardless of the source of their income. These protections will create a fairer system for renters, provide the necessary tools to seek relief, and ensure working families, seniors, and veterans aren’t unfairly shut out of housing opportunities.
