Michigan is blessed with some of the world’s most valuable natural resources—and our waterways are at the top of that list. Unfortunately, invasive sea lampreys wreak havoc on our rivers and fish populations. That’s why I was honored to join Rep. Scholten and the Great Lakes Fishery Commission in announcing a $2 million investment to stop lampreys from advancing down the Grand River and to protect our waterways for generations to come. 🌊🐟

Last week I partnered with the MI Economic Development Corporation. I invited partners from the private sector and industry, as well as my city and county colleagues to discuss how we can do deeper support of small businesses and prepare our community for economic downturn. I’m excited to help pilot first of its kind programming as we look at innovative ways we can protect our local economy and position it to thrive.
Thanks for the partnership everyone!

We spent time at Gerald R Ford Academy helping teachers prepare their classroom for the school year and also talking about what rising costs for everyday supplies means for them and the families they serve.
The truth is costa are soaring everyday because of tariffs and the chaos that is coming from the White House. We are working hard at the local level to soften the blow as much as we can for working families.
It was a pleasure to have these conversations and do this work with @gewhitmer @repscholten and @senatorwinniebrinks . Thanks for having us @grps !

Today we teamed up with League of Conservation Voters to speak with neighbors in the Garfield Park area. We talked about how neighbors feel about increasing utility costs, clean energy plans, and how to make their voices heard.
Thank you so much to everyone who took time to speak with us, you help inform the work that we do. Also thank you to the volunteers you are appreciated!

It was great to join the @grandrapidschamber and Housing Next for a breakfast focused on housing and intentional solutions for the housing crisis. Having businesses, community leaders, and non-prof partners at the table is what we need and they were all there! I believe that with a focus on policy, and innovative housing types we can truly make housing accessible for all.
