Thrilled to announce Binson's Medical Equipment & Supplies, headquartered in Center Line as our July Business of the Month! Each month, my office shines a spotlight on a local small business that goes above and beyond, and Binson’s truly earns it. From donating vital equipment to sponsoring our community’s events, for over 70 years they’ve been a cornerstone of support right here in our district. Supporting small businesses like Binson’s isn’t just good for our economy, it’s what keeps our neighborhoods strong and connected. #shoplocal #supportsmallbusiness ... See MoreSee Less

I was recently invited up north to Roscommon by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to take an aerial tour of the ice-storm damage that slammed the region earlier this year. Flying over acres of bent, broken, and dead trees was eye-opening, and the long-term impact on the area is very real. I also had the chance to learn more about how we monitor for forest fires and the work being done to keep our communities safe. As the minority vice chair of the Natural Resources and Tourism Committee, I truly appreciate the opportunity to see this firsthand and hear directly from the folks doing the work on the ground. ...
