Today’s signing of the Michigan Hate Crime Act marks a historic, long-overdue victory in Michigan’s decades-long battle against hate crimes, and I could not be prouder to see this gold standard legislation become law after two years of enormous effort. Thank you to AG Dana Nessel, my legislative partner Representative Kristian Grant, my former legislative director Joanne Wisely, Committee Chair Representative Kara Hope, and Carolyn Normandin at the ADL for all their tremendous efforts in helping pass this bill.

They don't care about the constitution. It was removed from the White House website. Thank you for trying to uphold it. It's going to be a long 4 years.
