American Axle has made $8.4 billion in the past decade, while workers are sleeping in their cars. It's time to make things right at American Axle. Their contract expires on May 31st and UAW Local 2093 deserve fair wages, job security, better health care, profit sharing, and a strong retirement. I urge American Axel to bargain in good faith and agree to a contract that honors the sacrifices of their employees #solidarity

The antisemitic hate flyers thrown onto driveways and left throughout Southeast Oakland County this weekend were a deliberate act of intimidation meant to spread fear in our Jewish community. These hateful messages are vile, dangerous, and completely unacceptable.
We have already seen the devastating consequences of increased antisemitism in our own community with the tragic attack at Temple Israel. When hateful rhetoric is ignored or normalized, it can escalate into real violence and real tragedy. That is why we must take incidents like this seriously and condemn them loudly and unequivocally.
Jewish families in Oakland County deserve to feel safe in their homes, neighborhoods, schools, and places of worship. No one should have to fear being targeted because of their faith or identity.
At a time when antisemitic incidents are increasing across the country, silence is not an option. There is no place for antisemitism in Oakland County, in Michigan, or anywhere in our country. Thank you to our local public safety departments who are investigating and working hard everyday to keep us all safe.
