Voting rights are under attack across the country—but here in Michigan, we have a chance to keep leading.
I joined my House and Senate colleagues in urging the Speaker of the House to bring the Michigan Voting Rights Act up for a vote. The Senate passed this important legislation last week, and now the only thing standing in the way is House leadership.
Every Michigander deserves to know their vote will be cast, counted, and heard. It’s time to get the Michigan Voting Rights Act to the Governor’s desk and signed into law. Michigan has long been a leader in protecting voting rights—and we should continue that legacy, not turn away from it.
