I was working in the district, when DPSCD Math Corps students were in Lansing to tour the Capitol. I requested they still stop by so i could meet them.
We used technology to have a great talk with some very impressive students.

The DEA National Take Back is this Saturday from 10:00 am -2:00 pm. Everyone is encouraged to take any unwanted, unused, and/or expired pills to a DEA take back site near you. This effort will promote public safety by reducing risks for overdoses and diversion as well as protecting our ground water from pills being thrown into landfills or flushed into our septic systems. ... Register your block clubs, community group or non-profit organizations for the Motor City Makeover 365. Groups must register with the City of Detroit to receive supplies, flowers, and to schedule pickups.

The Wayne State University Math Corp was in founded in 1991 as a combined academic and mentoring program for DPSCD students grades 6- 12. It features a summer camp and year-round Saturday programs. I was thrilled to learn we have a future male mathematics teacher in the group, as well as students from my alma mater, Cass Tech High School. 💚🤍
