American citizens are trapped in Lebanon. Late last night, I arrived in DC to meet with officials and demand faster action to ensure the safe return of our citizens.
Working with Abed Ayoub and the team at ADC to get things done quick. I will keep everyone updated on any developments.

The United States is responsible for protecting its citizens abroad, especially in times of crisis. Given the rapid escalation in Beirut, we demand the U.S. Department of State to immediately order evacuation flights for American citizens currently in Lebanon.
I am grateful for the elected officials and community leaders who have signed on to this letter thus far.

Michigan is known for its vast natural resources and beautiful environment. That's why I introduced bills to revive the Clean Michigan Initiative, which will protect our state's environment by investing in pollution control, water quality, and the redevelopment of contaminated sites. Today is National Voter Registration Day! I encourage everyone to check their voter registration and make a plan to vote. You can request your mail-in ballot or find your polling location on the MI Secretary of State's website. Your vote matters. Make sure your voice is heard on November 5th!

Today is a great day for Michiganders everywhere. We've heard your concern and frustration about having your cars stolen right off your driveway. This legislation gives our partners in law enforcement the tools they need to keep our neighborhoods safe.

As we remember those whose lives were tragically lost on 9/11, we also mourn the recent loss of one of our own. Officer Mohamed Said was a determined and heroic person who cared about his family and community more than anything. He sacrificed his life to keep his community safe, and his memory will live on forever in the people he impacted everyday while serving Melvindale. Today, we honored his memory at the Michigan House of Representatives' 9/11 Memorial Ceremony, and presented his family with a tribute and flag flown in his honor. I am proud to have represented Officer Said and am honored to have hosted his family in Lansing on such an important day.

We passed out over 300 backpacks to help students get ready for school. Shoutout to our amazing volunteers who helped us pack these backpacks with notebooks, pencils, and more.
We will continue to host events like this to help connect residents to the resources they need to be successful. Thanks to Detroit Rescue, Dearborn PTA, and all the volunteers who helped make this happen.
