Today, I joined my colleagues in Detroit to celebrate the signing of my bill, the Michigan Innovation Fund. This bipartisan legislation will support our homegrown entrepreneurs by giving them the investments they need to build strong businesses here in Michigan.

Today, the House of Representatives unanimously voted to designate a portion of highway I-94 in Wayne County as the "Corporal Mohamed Said Memorial Highway." Corporal Said dedicated his life to serving others and protecting the city of Melvindale, which he loved so deeply. Today, and every day, we will honor Corporal Said's legacy.

Propad devices are a serious threat to security in our neighborhoods. After hearing your concerns about these devices, I worked with State Representative Denise Mentzer to pass much needed legislation to prevent auto theft in Michigan communities.
