These Otters are “otter-ly” adorable!
I had a great time tonight at the ribbon cutting for the new and improved otter habitat at the John Ball Park Zoo. From attending as a child, working as a docent, working with the zoo school, to now fighting for the zoo in the in the State Legislature—this zoo is a huge part of who I am. Check out the new home for the otters starting tomorrow, May 22nd!

I had a lovely morning with students from the Grand Rapids Public Museum School! The students had an opportunity to ask me any questions about my job as a legislator, how the State Government works, and the current budget process. The students asked so many amazing questions which left me with a feeling of hope for our future.

The lights are bright in Grand Rapids!
The new Amphitheater opened last night with its first guest, Lionel Richie. This is a great space that adds to the many good reasons to come visit our city.

It was a privilege to speak at the Older Michiganians (Michiganders) Day earlier this morning. It was also great to run into some of my friends from our local Area Agency on Aging!

Shout out to all our Michigan Seniors who are working on the graduation projects!
This morning I got the opportunity to meet with some of our graduating Seniors and review their graduating projects. It is incredible to hear how excited they are about their futures and the wide variety of opportunities they each plan on taking advantage of post graduation. Whether it’s college, certification, or a skilled trade there is a path to your future here, in Michigan!
