Hey Michiganders,
Today is the 55th anniversary of Earth Day! 🌎
Every Earth Day, everyone around the globe is reminded that we only have one planet, so we must do everything we can to protect it, our Great Lakes, and our great state of Michigan!
Planting native planets in our gardens, making sure we recycle, picking up litter, properly disposing of harmful chemicals, and so much more impact the health of our planet.
Please join me in doing what you can to help protect our Mother Earth🌱✨

Please consider joining us!The Washtenaw Association of School Boards and the Washtenaw County Superintendents are holding an Education Town Hall on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 7pm at the WCC Morris Lawrence Building in the Towsley Auditorium. It is open to the general public. The panel wants to make sure that the community is clear on the federal funding and policy that is impacting our school systems and children in Washtenaw Community and what they can do to advocate for our children’s education.
They will be providing a LOT of information and suggestions and will give the audience time to ask their education-related questions.

Hello House District 32!
This week is #BlackMaternalHealthWeek! Strengthening Black maternal health starts with listening, funding, and policy change.
This week and every week we uplift the voices of Black women and mothers across Michigan. By honoring generations of Black mamas and investing in community-led solutions, we help build a future where every birth is safe and every mother is heard.
This past Saturday I had the pleasure of attending the second annual Black Maternal Health Cafe right here at Parkridge Community Center in Ypsilanti. At the Cafe, we got to hear talks from inspiring leaders in Black maternal health including my wife Kamilah!
To Black mothers and families: We see you. We hear you. We’re with you.
