Attended the grand opening of Kim Nhung Super Food in Madison Heights this morning, a new market offering a wide range of fresh produce, Asian groceries, and specialty items! Senator Stephanie Chang and I were proud to present a tribute to the owners in celebration of this exciting new addition to our community. Supporting small businesses like Kim Nhung Superfoods helps our local economy thrive, and we’re so glad they chose to stay and invest in Madison Heights!

Happy to share that the bipartisan Public Safety and Violence Prevention Trust Fund legislation unanimously advanced out of the Government Operations Committee yesterday! As a member of the committee, I’m proud to support efforts that invest in safer, stronger communities across Michigan. This legislation will be a big win for our district. If signed into law, it’s estimated to bring an additional:
• Warren: $1.1 million
• Madison Heights: $131,000
• Center Line: $42,000
• Hazel Park: $72,000
That’s real support for safer neighborhoods and stronger public safety.
