Today, I had the pleasure of meeting with representatives from the Bangladesh Embassy, USA during their mobile consular event at the Al-ihsaan Islamic Center, Warren,Michigan, USA. With a sizable Bengali population in our State House district, these mobile services are incredibly important, saving residents from having to travel all the way to Washington, D.C. Thank you to the Bangladesh Society of Michigan and everyone who helped organize today’s event, bringing these vital services closer to home!

Had the honor of participating in the Hazel Park Youth Assistance 2025 Youth Recognition Award ceremony last night! Congratulations to all the outstanding students recognized—you make our community proud. Huge thanks to the incredible volunteers who organized the event and for everything you do to support our youth year-round!

I recently had the opportunity to meet with the Dreams Of Bangladesh team and check out the rover they built for the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge. They are one of just 75 teams selected from over 7000 entries! This international competition challenges students to design and build an innovative remote-controlled rover capable of tackling a variety of simulated extraterrestrial terrain and mission tasks. Thank you to the Bangladesh Association of Michigan - BAM for the invitation and opportunity to congratulate the team. Great job, Dreams of Bangladesh, and good luck!
