Last night, I attended the Middle Straits Lake Improvement Association’s annual meeting - we talked all about inland lake issues, permitting reform at EGLE, wakeboat ordinances, my efforts to secure ongoing funding for marine law enforcement in the state budget, as well as my upcoming Local Lakes, Local Voices listening tour this summer. I’m proud to represent so many amazing inland lake communities across Greater West Bloomfield and Commerce — protecting our inland lakes will continue to be one of my highest priorities. I’m grateful to ProPublica for spotlighting my work on hate crimes. Targeted violence, including extremist violence and domestic terrorism, continues to be a serious threat in Michigan and across the country.
