This week, I was proud and deeply honored to lead the Michigan House of Representatives in adopting a resolution honoring Black History Month.
Standing with my colleagues to deliver this speech was a moment of immense pride. We gathered to honor the rich history, vibrant culture, and immeasurable contributions of Black people to the state of Michigan and this nation.
