I placed my hand on a copy of Not Another Banned Book, a story about a group of students who fight back against book banning efforts in their school.
I was grateful to have my mom and dad with me today as I begin my new term in the House. 😊

Erin I voted for you, and I think you are a straight shooter. But honestly, this disappoints me. Maybe I'm too much of a traditionalist.
Mayor John B. "Jack" O'Reilly Jr. passed away this morning after a lifetime of service to his beloved city of Dearborn.
He will be remembered by everyone who has ever called Dearborn home and his legacy will impact new generations for decades to come.
My thoughts are with Mayor O'Reilly's family and loved ones. May they be wrapped in the warmth of their memories, as we collectively honor a life well-lived.
