Today, I joined my colleagues on the steps of the Michigan Capitol to read our Pride Month resolution after Republican leadership refused to bring it forward for consideration.

Pride Month is an opportunity to recognize the contributions, history, and resilience of Michigan’s LGBTQ+ community. While leadership may have chosen not to acknowledge Pride Month through an official resolution, that does not diminish the importance of celebrating and standing with our LGBTQ+ neighbors, friends, family members, and constituents.

Everyone deserves to feel seen, respected, and valued. Happy Pride Month, Michigan!

The strike in Three Rivers may be over, but the message remains the same: Michigan workers deserve fair wages, safe workplaces, and a strong voice on the job.

I was proud to support these workers by joining my colleagues in signing this letter. I stand in solidarity with everyone who fights for dignity and respect in the workplace. Congratulations to the workers on reaching an agreement and showing the power of standing together!
