Shocker: when transit is funded and designed to actually meet community needs, people use it!

Rent is already high enough. The idea that you should have to pay an extra fee just to pay your rent is ridiculous.
Nobody should be forced onto a portal that slaps a $15 or $20 surcharge on you every month simply for handing over your rent check. You should always have a free way to pay. That’s why I voted to ban these predatory payment fees and keep money in renters' pockets.
Paying for your home is expensive enough without having to pay for the privilege of paying it.
