It was great to join the University of Michigan community for the grand opening of Wolverine Village! This new residence hall adds much-needed housing to campus, providing over 2,000 new beds for students and helping expand housing options in the Ann Arbor community. Proud to celebrate this investment in our students and our community!

Today in Lansing, I brought the Office of Passenger Transportation to the House floor!
These are the folks that help run local bus networks, intercity transit, and passenger services across the state, doing the heavy lifting to keep our communities connected.
A reliable transit network means people can get to work on time, seniors can live independently, and our state stays moving forward. We are so lucky to have such dedicated public servants doing this vital work.

Today in Lansing, I was honored to have Sheriff Alyshia M. Dyer join me in Lansing to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
We pause to remember the victims whose lives were cut short, the families whose worlds were forever changed, and the collective resilience of communities across our country. We also recognize the dedication of the everyday workers and emergency personnel who carry out the heavy work of keeping people safe in times of crisis.

Today, SCOTUS rejected the Republican’s attempt, under Trump, to impose new USPS restrictions on mail-in ballots. This means eligible Michigan voters can continue voting absentee by mail. This is a victory for democracy and every voter’s ability to make their voice heard.
