Governor Whitmer has signed my bipartisan Ground Emergency Medical Transport (GEMT) legislation into law! This bill ensures that municipal EMS providers are fairly reimbursed for life-saving services, bringing in more federal dollars to support local fire departments and ambulance services. By easing financial pressures, we’re helping first responders stay focused on what they do best—saving lives. A huge thank you to the Michigan Association of Fire Chiefs -MAFC, the Michigan Municipal League, and the Michigan Townships Association for their support. And special thanks to Chief Edmonds of Sterling Heights, Captain Dwyer of Madison Heights, and Deputy Commissioner Derek Hillman of Detroit for their invaluable help in getting this legislation across the finish line! This is a big win for Michigan’s first responders and the communities they serve!

Had a fantastic time at the 3rd Annual Hazel Park Family Resource Extravaganza and Chili Cook-Off yesterday! This is such a great annual event that brings the community together while connecting families with important resources. Huge thanks to the Hazel Park School District and everyone who helped make it happen!

Did you know that Warren played a major role in the "Arsenal of Democracy" during World War II? The Detroit Arsenal in Warren produced nearly 30% of all tanks used during the war.
Warren continues to support our nation’s military efforts today, with key Army commands still operating at the Detroit Arsenal.

so you protest against saving money? Have you seen what they were financing. There will not shut down food and medicine, just the crap stuff. Do your research look how they spent your money. Think for a change.
Transparency in government is essential for accountability and trust. That’s why I support expanding FOIA to cover the Legislature and the governor’s office. Michiganders deserve to know how their government operates—no more loopholes, no more secrecy. It’s time for real transparency.
