Someone please give Griffin his furever home ❤️🐾Griffin is still waiting for a furever home. He's about 3 years old, neutered and utd on shots. We can't say enough about this handsome boy, he's super sweet, very playful and very loving. He is a great pup. He will probably be OK with other dogs but of course a meet and greet is required for all potential doggie friends. Unsure about kitties. It’s incredibly counterproductive for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to allow over 400 acres of state forest to be clear-cut for a solar farm. Studies have shown that deforestation for solar development often results in a net increase in greenhouse gas emissions, undermining the benefits of renewable energy. This decision also directly contradicts the MI Healthy Climate Plan, which calls to “avoid land-use conversion that causes a net increase in GHG emissions and prioritize land uses that reduce GHG emissions.” We can fight climate change and protect our forests. Let’s demand smarter solutions that align with our climate goals!

It would be nice to keep the forests that actually absorb carbon and use parking lots or school roofs for the solar panels. Use wasted space rather than cut down more of our forests.
Thank you for speaking up! Please work with the Republican lawmakers near Gaylord to help protect public and private forests. Im fine with solar but lets put it somewhere that doesn't start with deforestation and increasing ghg emissions.

While I no longer represent Highland Park or parts of Detroit and Ferndale, I want to thank the residents of those communities for their trust and support over the past two years. As we welcome 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on the past year and give thanks for the privilege of representing you in Lansing. Together, we’ve made progress on issues that matter—fighting to bring money back to our budget strapped municipalities, advocating for more mental healthcare resources, improving public transit funding, supporting first responders, and lowering the costs on prescription drug prices.
