⚓️🌊 Our Local Lakes, Local Voices Town Hall right here in Sylvan Lake last week enabled me to connect with constituents all about our inland lakes! We were joined by experts from EGLE, DNR, the Michigan Lakes and Streams Association, and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office. Advocating for the health and safety of our inland lakes — from Union Lake to Square Lake — will always be a top priority for me as your state representative. I look forward to joining my friend and colleague, State Representative Jennifer Conlin, in making our Local Lakes, Local Voices tour an annual event in both of our house districts. I join with 80% of the Israeli public - left, right, and center - to say NO to occupation of Gaza. It is long past time for this war to end, to strike a ceasefire deal to release all the hostages, to call new Knesset elections, and to rebuild Gaza. Netanyahu’s radical plan will not defeat Hamas, the terrorist organization that wishes to see the world soaked in Jewish blood; it will only make Israel a global pariah state – all to satisfy Netanyahu’s extremist coalition partners and stay out of prison. One thing I did not have on my bingo card in 2025 was someone bringing me a mason jar filled with their smelly cyanobacteria-laden lake water! 🤢🫣🤣
