Cuts to SNAP and WIC raise the cost of living for the average Michigander and take away food access for the most vulnerable recipients, including seniors and people with disabilities. I am fighting to protect food assistance for the families who rely on it.

I strongly disagree with cuts to Medicaid that will force many in our community to go without lifesaving care and shut down rural hospitals that serve people across the state. Michiganders need a state budget that protects their health, no matter their income.

Heat exhaustion and heatstroke are both forms of heat-related illness. Signs of heat-related illness vary but may include:
- Heavy sweating
- Muscle cramps
- Weakness
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Fainting
- Extremely high body temperature (above 103°F)
- Tiredness
