I'm thrilled that construction of the Denton Road Bridge has finally begun! Last year I fought hard and got $10 million included in the FY 2023-2024 budget for the replacement of the Denton Road bridge causeway.

About time
Thank you!
I was delighted to co-host the second annual 4-H Day at the Capitol! This is the second time I was able to sponsor the program. We celebrated the creation of the 4H license fundraising plate, heard from MSU President Kevin Guskiewicz, and spoke with a few of our current 4H participants.

Today is #WorldDyslexiaDay! A day to educate and celebrate diversity in learning. We've passed new legislation that focuses on early support for students with dyslexia. Our efforts to provide targeted resources for students with reading challenges are helping to break down barriers and give kids confidence in learning and life.

We’re setting kids up for success! When kids read with confidence, they learn with confidence. Our bills to support students with dyslexia and reading challenges early on will help all #MichEd students achieve literacy.

MCCC breaks ground on new Welch Center for Health and Public Safety
I’m thrilled to celebrate the expansion of MCCC and the new Welch Center for Health and Public Safety! I fought for this funding because it will equip more students to pursue careers in health care and public safety AND create a stronger, healthier and safer future for Monroe County and Michigan.
