This week I reintroduced legislation to protect patients from harmful step therapy practices that can delay access to the medications their doctors know will work best for them.
I’ve heard from far too many people who were forced to jump through hoops with their insurance company while dealing with chronic illnesses and serious health conditions. That can be frustrating, stressful, and in some cases dangerous.
Healthcare decisions should be made by patients and their doctors, not insurance companies. I’ll continue fighting to make sure Michiganders can access the care they need without unnecessary delays.

I joined State Representative Ron Robinson on WDIV Local 4 / ClickOnDetroit this morning to talk about the importance of getting more young people interested in the skilled trades and the new bipartisan Michigan Building Trades Caucus.
Skilled trades careers helped build Michigan, and union apprenticeship programs continue to give people an incredible opportunity to earn while they learn, build lifelong skills, and start good-paying careers without being buried in student debt. We need to do a better job showing young people that these careers are valuable, respected, and in high demand.
Proud to work across the aisle on an issue that is so important to Michigan’s future.

Thank you to Asian & Pacific Islander American Vote - Michigan (APIAVote-MI) and the Michigan Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (MAPAAC) for inviting me to participate as a panelist for today’s Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Capitol Day.
It was great seeing several constituents from our district at the Capitol today. The 14th House District is incredibly diverse, and I’m proud to represent communities with so many different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.
Advocacy matters, and events like today are so important because they help ensure every community has a voice in the legislative process. Hearing directly from residents and advocates helps us build a stronger and more inclusive Michigan for everyone.

It was great welcoming residents from Madison Heights to Lansing today for Older Michiganians Day at the Capitol. I was also glad to see Mayor Corey K. Haines and Quinn Wright - Madison Heights City Councilor there advocating alongside them.
Older Michiganians Day is an important opportunity for seniors from across our state to make their voices heard and discuss issues impacting older adults in Michigan. A special thank you to our friends at AgeWays Nonprofit Senior Services for their continued advocacy on behalf of seniors across metro Detroit and for all they do to support older adults in our communities.
Thank you to everyone who made the trip to the Capitol today!

She's about 3 years old, spayed and utd on shots. She is very loving and playful. She loves to play fetch and tug. She knows basic commands and is really a wonderful pup. She will make sure you know when someone comes around whether it's people or that suspicious leaf flying around. She will need any children in the home to be teenagers. She really is a sweet loving pup that deserves a loving home. If you're interested in meeting this cutie please call HPACS @ 248-546-4096. Please share ... See MoreSee Less

As we recognize Police Week, earlier today I joined Mayor Lori M. Stone and Warren City Council Members Mindy Moore and Gary Boike at the Police Memorial Service hosted by the Warren Police Department at the Christopher M. Wouters FOP Lodge in Warren.
Today was an important opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by the officers who gave their lives protecting our communities. Hearing their stories and standing alongside their loved ones and fellow officers was incredibly meaningful.
Thank you to the men and women in law enforcement who put on the badge every day and serve our communities with courage and dedication. We will never forget those we have lost.
