This is a positive step, and it's one I've been fighting for in Michigan.
While I disagree with much of what this administration does, I’m glad to see movement on expanding access to promising treatments for PTSD. That’s why I introduced legislation to decriminalize psilocybin for people diagnosed with PTSD.
For too long, politics and stigma have stood in the way of innovative treatments that could help people reclaim their lives. Veterans who have sacrificed for our country shouldn’t be told to wait while government drags its feet.
I’ll continue fighting in Lansing to follow the science, expand mental health treatment options, and make sure Michigan leads on solutions that support veterans, first responders, and everyone living with PTSD.

🚨 Michigan, it’s time to vote! 🚨
The American Association of State Troopers Best Looking Cruiser Contest is officially live. Last year, we finished in a heartbreaking 2nd place right behind Florida.
Let's be real. Florida has year-round sunshine and palm trees. They don’t need this win. Our sleek Michigan State Police Dodge Charger looks incredible against a beautiful Pure Michigan backdrop (and honestly, it looks even better covered in road salt). We can't let the sunshine state take our crown again!

As someone who loves history, I'm excited that these rare founding documents are on display at The Henry Ford. It's a unique chance to see pieces of our nation's story up close and reflect on the history that shaped America. Best of all, admission to the exhibit is free. 🇺🇸 ... See MoreSee Less

DTE continues to ask the Michigan Public Service Commission for rate increases without delivering the reliable service our families pay for. When their poor response leaves residents without power for days, customers shouldn't have to foot the bill for spoiled groceries, ruined medications, and emergency expenses. DTE needs to be held accountable and required to reimburse families for these losses.
I want to extend a massive thank you to the line workers, tree trimmers, city workers, and first responders who are working around the clock in difficult conditions to safely restore power and keep our neighborhoods safe. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.
Michiganders shouldn't be left in the dark every time severe weather hits, especially when our utility rates are already some of the highest in the Great Lakes region. I fully stand behind my colleague's call for formal hearings into these widespread power outages. Our communities deserve transparency, accountability, and real solutions.

It took a 21-hour marathon session, but we officially passed the state budget!
Governing requires compromise, and after weeks of incredibly tough negotiations, I’ll be the first to tell you this budget isn't perfect. Nobody got everything they wanted. But at the end of the day, it protects critical investments for our schools, our local communities, and the working families who need it most.
Exhausted is an understatement, but I’m proud of the hard work we put in to get this done. Now, time to get some sleep before the 4th of July weekend! 🇺🇸
