I testified before the House Labor and Economic Opportunity Appropriations Subcommittee in support of a Legislatively Directed Spending Item (LDSI) request for $3 million for Brillant Detroit. I was joined by Cindy Eggleton, with Brilliant Detroit.

I was proud to lift up is Brilliant Detroit’s investment to expand their comprehensive place-based literacy initiative across Southeast Michigan. The literacy initiatives through Brilliant Detroit are tools that will continue to help close the literacy gaps in communities in SE Michigan, including cities like Pontiac, in addition to Detroit.
