Detroit Caucus Presented Tribute to the Detroit Pepper Company

DETROIT, Mich., March 26, 2021 — The Detroit Caucus presented the Detroit Pepper Company with a tribute to commemorate its achievements and community contributions, including being a Motor City Match recipient. The company also gave away non-perishable food items to those in need and community members throughout the pandemic. State Rep. Tenisha Yancey (D-Harper Woods), chair of the Detroit Caucus, presented the tribute to Marlin Hughes, Detroit Pepper Company Owner.  Rep. Yancey also issued this statement:

“During the past year, many of our small businesses have faced incredible challenges, especially those in our restaurant industry. The Detroit Pepper Company not only rose to those challenges for itself but also made sure to give back to the community whenever possible. That is the kind of leadership and community pride and ownership that makes our city such a great place to live and work.”
