Next week, I am holding a community conversation to a facilitate discussion and seek input from residents about the state of education in Michigan. This event is free and open to the public. Advocating for a strong education plan locally and making Michigan a top-10 education state in the country continues to be my top priority. I hope you will join me:

The Town Hall will feature several special guests from the Van Buren Public Schools (VBPS) community: VBPS Superintendent Michael Van Tassel, VBPS Director of Curriculum & Instruction Jeff Moore, VBPS Board of Education member Sherry Frazier and McBride Middle School teacher Jason Strzalkowski. Guests will each share their unique perspective on education in VBPS and in Michigan, and audience members will be given the opportunity to ask questions and suggest discussion topics.
