Dear Friends,
I wanted to take this opportunity to invite you to join me and my special guests U.S Rep. Haley Stevens, state Sen, Rosemary Bayer, Pontiac Superintendent Kelley Williams, Avondale Superintendent James Schwarz and West Bloomfield Superintendent Gerald Hill, for our upcoming Virtual Education Town Hall. Please join us tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17, at 4 p.m. by clicking the link here.
The pandemic’s impact on our students and teachers has been immense. While everyone is doing what they can to continue education opportunities during this trying time, we need to continue to plan on how we will get our kids back on track when it is safe for them to return to school and what we can do in the interim.
We will be discussing a variety of topics including:
- Nutrition and food drop-offs
- Online and Distance Learning Resources
- Special Education
We will also have a question and answer portion, so please feel free to submit your questions or concerns ahead of time by sending me an email. But pre-registration is not required.
I know that these times are troubling but remember: we will get through this together. Stay home, stay safe and I look forward to seeing you in cyberspace.
Please contact my office directly if you or someone you know is in need. My contact information is below.
Sincerely,
State Representative Brenda Carter
