DETROIT, Aug. 11, 2021 — Yesterday, the Detroit Regional Chamber issued its final guidance announcing that the 2021 Mackinac Policy Conference, which will take place from Sept. 20-23, will require all attendees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
“We know that getting the vaccine is the best way for us to protect ourselves against COVID-19 and the delta variant. I am proud that the Detroit Regional Chamber did not bow to the political pressure of some and stood by its decision in May to require vaccinations to attend the Mackinac Policy Conference,” said state Rep. Cynthia A. Johnson (D-Detroit). “They didn’t do what was easy; they followed science and did what is right to protect the health and safety of attendees from across the country.”
