LANSING, Mich., Sept. 22, 2021 — The Michigan House of Representatives passed a budget that includes historic investments in the economy, child care and infrastructure. It will also appropriate funding to the Talent Development Coalition grant and Keego Harbor sandbar buoys. State Rep. Brenda Carter (D-Pontiac) issued the following statement in support of the budget’s passage:
“After living through this once-in-a-lifetime pandemic, it’s more important than ever that we invest in our neighborhoods to make sure everyone has the resources and opportunity they need to prosper. This budget is a victory for our district. The funding given to the Talent Development Coalition grant and Keego Harbor sandbar buoys will ensure that our community remains safe and prosperous for years to come.”
