DETROIT, Oct. 11, 2021 — State Rep. Cynthia A. Johnson (D-Detroit), along with special guests from the House Detroit Caucus, will hold a virtual town hall on Oct. 21 from 6-8 p.m. to discuss the fiscal year 2022 budget. Members of the public can access the virtual town hall using Zoom. The meeting ID is 305 333 1194.
“The budget just signed into law funds vital programs that Detroiters can rely on but can seem very complicated to those not involved in the process,” Johnson said. “This town hall gives people the opportunity to see how this budget directly affects them, their families and their neighborhood, as well as get our communities more involved in the government that serves them.”
Special guests at the town hall include state Reps. Joe Tate (D-Detroit), Abraham Aiyash (D-Hamtramck), Stephanie Young (D-Detroit), Shri Thanedar (D-Detroit), Tenisha Yancey (D-Harper Woods), Helena Scott (D-Detroit) and Mary Cavanagh (D-Redford Township).
The town hall will be posted on Johnson’s Facebook page after the event.
