LANSING, Mich., Dec. 1, 2021 — On Nov. 30, a student shot and killed four students, injuring seven others, including one teacher, at Oxford High School. In response, state Rep. Brenda Carter (D-Pontiac) issued the following response:
“My heart breaks for everyone that has been affected by the mass shooting at Oxford High School. As a former school board member, I know that our schools are the foundation of our community. It’s time for us to come together to express our condolences, ensure all of our students feel safe during this difficult time and rebuild that foundation.”
