LANSING, Mich., Feb. 3, 2022 — State Rep. Brenda Carter (D-Pontiac) was appointed to serve as the vice chair of the National Council of Insurance Legislators Committee Joint State-Federal Relations and International Insurance Issues. Carter released the following statement on her new appointment:
“I am honored to serve as the vice chair of the Joint State-Federal Relations and International Insurance Issues Committee for NCOIL. As minority vice chair of the Michigan House Insurance Committee, I understand the intricacies of insurance and the importance of fixing existing gaps in insurance laws. I am excited to use the knowledge I’ve accumulated to get to work for the people of Michigan and people throughout the country.”
