Invest in MI Community Survey The federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will deliver billions of dollars for Michigan to fund large-scale infrastructure investments and create good-paying jobs. The people living in and working in our community have thoughts on what local infrastructure needs to be improved. I want to hear from you!
Now is your chance to tell us! Please fill out this survey with as much detail as possible. Responses will be collected from across the state and be turned into an action plan for rebuilding Michigan.
Legislative Update As part of the Legislative Labor Caucus, I’m proud to have a bill in the Michigan Workers First bill package focused on restoring rights to organize, collective bargaining and workers’ rights. The bill I sponsored in the package would restore the “reasonable and just cause” discharge standard in the Teacher Tenure Act, ensuring our educators have a strong voice in the workplace, the ability to advocate without fear of retaliation, and stronger learning environments for our students so they can achieve and succeed.
I am excited to inform you that House Bill 5477, Kratom Consumer Protection and Regulatory Act will receive a hearing in the House Regulatory Reform Committee this month. Kratom Consumer Protection and Regulatory Acts have gained national support to empower consumers with essential information about the product.

Reclaim Your Rhythm During American Heart Month February is American Heart Month, a perfect time to reclaim your rhythm by creating healthy habits and committing to health goals. Throughout the month, join me to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and help save lives. The American Heart Association is helping people take control of their mental and physical well-being. There are so many ways to get involved and reclaim your rhythm: ❤️ Mellow Out and Reduce Stress: Stress leads to unhealthy habits like overeating, physical inactivity, smoking, and risk factors for heart disease and stroke like high blood pressure, and depression or anxiety. ❤️ Move to the Music: Physical activity is linked to lower risk of diseases, stronger bones and muscles, improved mental health and cognitive function, and lower risk of depression. ❤️ Feed Your Soul, Rock Your Recipes: Eat meals together as a family for a chance to connect and decompress. Regular meals at home with family reduce stress, boost self-esteem and make the whole family feel connected. ❤️ Stay on Beat with Blood Pressure: High blood pressure is a leading cause and controllable risk factor for heart disease and stroke and can contribute to worse outcomes for people who contract COVID-19. ❤️ Keep the Beat! Learn Hands-Only CPR: When a person has a cardiac arrest, survival depends on immediately receiving CPR from someone nearby. Help your community reclaim their rhythm by learning the two simple steps of Hands-Only CPR: Call 911, then press hard and fast in the center of the chest.
