Dear Friend,
While the Legislature breaks next week for a spring in-district work period, I wanted to let you know my team and I are still hard at work.
This week, we introduced the “Michigan Consumer Privacy Act,” a bill to give you more control over your sensitive personal information in a time of increased online data collection. This bill would ensure you understand how large, for-profit companies are using your personal data and give you an opportunity to limit the usage or delete the collected data altogether. I will always fight for your rights, and that includes your right to privacy.
For more information about best practices in consumer protection, you can contact my office to request a free “Consumer Protection Guide” or visit the Attorney General’s website.
I also wanted to invite you to my upcoming constituent coffee hour, taking place on March 30 from 8:30-10 a.m. at Letts Community Center, located at 1220 W. Kalamazoo St. We will be joined by our special guest Cheryl Bergman, CEO of the Michigan Women’s Commission. We hope to see you there.
As always, please feel free to contact my office with any questions or concerns.
In Service,
Sarah Anthony |
