LANSING, Mich., July 12, 2022 — Yesterday, organizers for the Reproductive Freedom for All petition delivered signatures to the Bureau of Elections. The petition would amend the Michigan Constitution to ensure that no one goes to prison for providing safe medical care as well as ensure access to a broad range of reproductive health care, including abortion. State Rep. Kelly Breen (D-Novi) issued the following statement on the delivery of the signatures:
“Yesterday, we saw a historic number of signatures submitted for the Reproductive Freedom for All petition. This was an incredible accomplishment for the organizers, volunteers and signers of the petition. It reached every county in Michigan. The fight to protect the right to abortion and reproductive health care is essential for preserving our right to bodily autonomy.”
